Robert Pelter VIEW PROFILE

Robert Pelter

Evan Kramer:

Robert stayed in touch with me occasionally over the years and even after I moved to Oregon in 1990. He worked at Faith Plating on Santa Monica Boulevard for many years. He collected old cars mainly Cadillacs from the early 50's and had a dozen or more in various stages of working order. We knew each other from Beverly Vista Elementary School starting in the third grade when I began there after our family moved from LA. He was my best friend through our first year ay Valley College. Then he transferred to West LA Junior College and I didn't keep up with the friendship. He was an original - no one else like him and not the least bit worried about what others thought. He was very close to his family and lived with his brother Richard for over 20 years. Robert was part of the Oakhurst "gang" when that word had a different meaning was and remained close friends with Paul Butler and Jimmy Peterson. He was a true blue die hard UCLA Bruin's football fan and often traveled out of town to see his football team in action. He had a lot of friends he stayed in touch with over the years from his Beverly Hills days. A very real man.
