A note from Mark's son:

Thank you for your condolences. It was a big shock to everyone when he did pass since it was a sudden/ unexpected situation. One of his close neurologist friends was visiting from out of State and while mid conversation, my father slouched forward from his chair and stopped breathing. We’re guessing it was a large pulmonary embolism because it was instant and painless.

My father never mentioned that he was part of a high school reunion group otherwise we would’ve given the funeral date/time.

We had a small funeral in LA and a large memorial dinner here in Fresno with many of his old collegues and friends from this area. It was nice to hear from you Phil. It means a lot to my sister and I to hear from his friends and how much they cared about him.

Phil- can you or anyone else get information on where Mark is buried here in LA?  I would like to pay my respects and say "goodbye" to him.

Regards and thanks,

Larry Koplin

I just heard from Mark's son Jeremy, Larry, regarding where he is buried...

" My father's buried at Eden Memorial in Mission Hills (next to Sylmar), right off the 405.
I want to say it's in plot section 11 but it's probably best to ask the people in the front of the exact location of the plot. They're really good at looking it up and directing people where to go. "

A note: I never realized this is a Jewish cemetery----and quite a few entertainers
